Children’s Director: Courtney Windley
Courtney was born in Knoxville, TN but has lived in Raleigh/Cary area for most of her life. She received her undergraduate degree from Appalachian State University, and then got her Master's degree in Christian Counseling from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Courtney has worked with children for as long as she can remember in both work and church settings, and she has loved every minute of it! She and husband Mike have a son named Jackson and a daughter named Hannah. Courtney also enjoys cooking, relaxing in coffee shops, reading, hiking, and spending time with friends.
Here's an interview we did to give you a little more information about Courtney...
So what exactly do you do at the Bridge?
I coordinate Bridgekidz, the children's ministries of The Bridge, the women's ministries, and host of other odds and ends. Mostly, I keep the guys on staff in line.
What's your favorite...
Movies or TV shows?
TV - 24, The Biggest Loser, American Idol, and most shows on The Food Network.
Movies - You've Got Mail, Hitch, The Usual Suspects, any of the Bourne movies.
Music?
I really enjoy most types of music - Christian, rock, alternative, hip hop, classic rock, etc. Not so much bluegrass. My favorite Christian bands right now are 10th Avenue North and David Crowder Band.
Sports teams?
Carolina Tarheels all the way. I also follow the University of Tennessee and Appalachian State, my alum.
Foods?
I love anything Mexican or Italian. I am in love with Salsa Fresh.
